Welcome to CampFinder. By accessing or using our website at www.campfinderapp.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About CampFinder

CampFinder is a discovery and planning tool that helps families in the Austin, TX area find and compare summer camps. Camp information displayed on the Site is aggregated from public sources and camp-provided data.

2. Accuracy Disclaimer

Camp information (prices, dates, ages, locations, availability) is provided for informational purposes only. We make reasonable efforts to keep data current, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any camp listing. Always verify details directly with the camp provider before making enrollment or payment decisions.

CampFinder is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any camp listed on the Site. We do not operate, manage, or supervise any camp programs.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User-Generated Content

When you submit reviews, ratings, pro tips, or other content ("User Content"), you:

  • Retain ownership of your User Content, but grant CampFinder a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it on the Site.
  • Represent that your User Content is truthful, based on your genuine experience, and does not violate any third party's rights.
  • Agree not to post content that is defamatory, harassing, obscene, fraudulent, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Understand that reviews are attributed by first name only, and pro tips are displayed anonymously.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content at our sole discretion, including content that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Post fake, misleading, or spam reviews (including reviews for camps you have not attended).
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from the Site without our written permission.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or personal data.
  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site's infrastructure or security.

6. Bookmarks, Schedules, and Planning Tools

CampFinder provides tools to bookmark camps, build schedules, and share plans. These tools are for personal planning purposes. Saving a camp to your schedule does not constitute a registration or enrollment with that camp. You must complete enrollment directly with each camp provider.

7. Third-Party Services

The Site contains links to camp websites and uses third-party services including:

  • Google AdSense for advertising (subject to Google's Privacy Policy).
  • Google Maps for camp location display.
  • Supabase for authentication and data storage.

We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party websites or services.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CampFinder and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Site.
  • Inaccurate or outdated camp information displayed on the Site.
  • Any camp experience, enrollment, or interaction with a camp provider found through the Site.
  • Unauthorized access to your account or data.

CampFinder does not guarantee the quality, safety, or suitability of any camp listed on the Site. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for evaluating camps and making enrollment decisions for their children.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CampFinder and its operators from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 4, 8, and 9) will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
