Youth summer camp sessions are offered during the summer by different church groups in Texas. The camp facilities are available for rent by Churches of Christ and related organizations. All summer camp personnel must undergo a thorough background check as well as training in a special class on preventing child abuse. Well-balanced meals are prepared three times daily by the camp cooks. There is a canteen available at times designated by the session director which allows candy, soft drinks, or juices to be served to campers as refreshment. The swimming pool is always a favorite spot and provides fun and exercise. Swimming is supervised by a certified lifeguard as well as counselors. Many other sport activities are available including archery. Every teacher is vitally interested in the spiritual development of each camper.
