Set at the Highlands Community Center in Rough Hollow, Camp Rough Life provides exceptional aquatic, athletic, and educational amenities in an inspiring setting. Offering the Explorers Camp Program (entering 1st-entering 5th grade). Campers will learn about respect through games and activities inspired by Monopoly, focusing on fair play and valuing others' contributions. Campers will explore the importance of friendship through Candyland-inspired challenges, emphasizing teamwork and supporting one another. This week will focus on appreciating what we have and expressing gratitude through fun, fast-paced games. Campers will practice honesty and integrity in their interactions and creative responses. A week of physical and mental challenges inspired by Twister, encouraging campers to step out of their comfort zones and demonstrate courage. This week focuses on building strong teams through various collaborative games and activities that highlight the power of working together. Inspired by the game Operation, campers will engage in activities that promote kindness and empathy, learning to 'operate' with care and compassion. Using the spirit of Uno, campers will learn about perseverance, adapting to challenges, and continuing to try even when things get tough. The final week brings all games together. Campers showcase their skills, teamwork, and creativity in a camp-wide tournament of champions.
