Horseback Riding at Camp Doublecreek Our DC Riding location has moved to join our DC Adventures campus in Austin! Our experienced and certified instructors will teach you everything you need to know about horseback riding, from basic safety to more advanced techniques. No matter your skill level, we have a lesson plan that is perfect for you! By participating in the riding camp, riders will receive lessons in both mounted (on the horse) and unmounted activities, arts & crafts, archery, and a variety of other camp games. Mounted activity will focus on safety, balance of the rider, and riding skills including how to communicate with your horse to turn, stop, and move forward. Each rider’s skill level will be assessed and lesson activity will be designed to progress each rider. Unmounted activity will focus on safety, horse care, tacking, untacking, and tack care. Space is limited to 15 riders and is only available for riders 7 years and older. Winter and Summer Riding Academy will run December 29-31. (7:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m.) Tuition is $90 per day. Summer Riding Academy will run Monday-Friday. (7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) Tuition will be $550 per week. All lunches must be brought from home, but snacks will be provided.
