Held at Southwest Community Center. | Keep your brain turned on... with chess, fun, and games! Join us this summer for tons of challenging chess lessons, exciting games, and cool prizes. You will improve your chess skills, meet new friends, and work out your most powerful muscle, your brain! All skill levels welcomed. Held at Fire Station Community Center. Two half-day session options available: AM (9am-12pm) and PM (1pm-4pm). | Take aim at fun and focus! In this hands-on archery camp, participants will learn proper technique, range safety, and target shooting fundamentals. Campers will build confidence, patience, and coordination in a safe and supportive environment. All skill levels welcomed. Held at Greenbriar Community Center. Participants should bring a sack lunch and water bottle. | The Fort Worth Parks and Recreation Department offers the Summer Food Service Program funded by the Texas Department of Agriculture at participating community centers. Free meals and snacks are available to all children ages 1 to 18, and the child does not have to be enrolled in a camp program to qualify. In summer 2021, 14,633 meals were served at 20 community center locations. Food is provided by CitySquare, a non-profit fighting the causes and effects of poverty. The program has earned GOLD recognition from the Excellence in Summer Meals Campaign from the Texas Hunger Initiative for four consecutive summers.
